Ryerson Collective Agreements

Ryerson has a strong history of collaborative collective bargaining and positive labour relations. We are committed problem solvers and successfully negotiate collective agreements with all unions on campus that involve incremental changes that meet the needs of all parties. Disclaimer: Online versions of these collective agreements are made available for practical reference to trade union group members, managers and other interested parties. When a conflict is found between these versions and the official documents, priority is given to the conditions of the official documents. The Ryerson All-Union Coalition strongly supports the collective bargaining demands of the Ontario College faculty, which is currently on strike. These teachers, trainers, consultants and librarians are committed to quality training and good jobs. It is regrettable that the college`s employers` council forced them to take the difficult decision to go on strike. Ryerson University entered into a new collective agreement with CUPE Local 233 in October 2018. The new collective agreement is now online: Check for collective bargaining updates and read the supporting documents that will help you understand your collective agreement. We are proud that we have not had any work stoppages on our campus in collaboration with unions over the past 30 years. Ryerson`s negotiations were successful because of the shared commitment of both parties. We come to the bargaining table with the following values: George Brown`s faculty and centennial university are among the striking university workers. This can affect Ryerson students and workers due to the common programs of our institutions.

We encourage students and workers on the Ryerson campus to support the strikers by visiting their picket lines, refusing to do extra work normally done by striking workers, and sending letters of support here: www.collegefaculty.org/letters_of_support CUPE 233 and Ryerson University Agreement Signed – 2018 If you have any questions about the impact that strike support may have on your work or your school, Please contact your union or student union.
